Get drunk of wine, virtue, poetry, whatever!

Il est l’heure de s’enivrer!
Pour n’être pas les esclaves martyrisés du Temps,
enivrez-vous;
enivrez-vous sans cesse!
De vin, de poésie ou de vertu, à votre guise.”

(Charles Baudelaire, Enivrez-vous)

This time we would like to suggest you to spend a sort of psycho-poetry time with a nice recipe to enjoy the soft feeling of being dizzy during the hot summer evenings…with something beauty and good, something exiting and delicate as a poem:

Raspberry and Elderflower Collins

(suggested by our photographer-bar-tender Camilo - author of both the cocktail’s recipe and picture of it)

4 Rasberries
50 ml Gordons Gin
25 ml Lime Juice
25 ml ElderFlower
Ginger ale
Garnish: Lime wheel and a raspberry

In a tall glass mulled the raspberries until they look like kind of jam then pour the gin, the eldeflower and the lime juice and stir it a little bit, fill up the glass with ice and the top up with the ginger ale.

…and now,  as the Great Poet Baudelaire wrote in his Paris Spleen:

“Time to get drunk!
Don’t be martyred slaves of Time,
Get drunk!
Stay drunk!
On wine, virtue, poetry, whatever!”

Enjoy your Sunday evening, hope your heart did pulp strongly all day long…

This looks like an incredibly refreshing drink. I completely empathize with your yearning for the slower pace. The recreation of this drink is a wonderful ode to those days.

Thank you for this great and very kind comment! Our bar tender Camilo has several new recipes invented by him! I guess he would be glad to share them all!
