Autumn Jam taste Tea: Mi Lan Xiang Oolong

Remember when you are child and on a late autumn afternoon you pop inside your grandmother’s kitchen following a sweet sent of candy fruits and sugar? And the you figure out that she is preparing a delicious jam which will spread over a warm piece of bread to warm you up after playing outside.


Well, if you have a clear image of this moment in your mind you’ll probably be able to imagine the aroma of the Mi Lan Xiang from Organictea Lin Farm (@ WudongTea on INSTA)! But let’s call this tea with its proper name (it is a Sir. Tea and it deserves it!): I’ve got in my hands few leaves of the Phoenix Dancong Mi Lan Xiang Oolong tea from Guangdong Mountains (China) directly shipped to me from Organictea Lin Farm… what a pleasure! The name of this tea means literally “Honey Orchid Fragrance”… and it has a reason why… with only 5 grams of leaves I could fill in all my room with an intense aroma of chestnuts honey and plum hot jam… unbelievable!

Comparing this tea of rocks with the Huan Zhi Xiang I have tasted formerly (read here the review), the Mi Lan Xiang is surely more intense and rich in color and aroma, both on the nose and in the month, also it is characterized by a very long after taste which reminds you mature fruits – such as plums or figs – covered by sugar. Simply delicious … I don’t have any other words … if not the instinct to lips my fingers!
